Application for Approval to Erect the Memorial

Before we can proceed with the order for a memorial, we will have to obtain approval from the relevant local authority for the cemetery on your behalf, or from the vicar of a particular churchyard. This will involve us sending a diagram of the proposed memorial and details of the inscription for approval.

We always recommend you discuss your requirements with us before making a final decision. Regulations for a particular cemetery or churchyard can vary from place to place. Most local authority or Parish Council run cemeteries will permit any type or colour of stone, whereas there will be strict regulations for memorials in churchyards on the type of material and design that is permitted. We will be pleased to provide advice and any guidance on the choice of memorial that will be permitted so as to avoid any disappointment if the application is subsequently not approved

Most local authorities and churches will have fees payable before a memorial can be permitted into the cemetery or churchyard. These fees will vary. Our price list below includes the cost of installation, but exclude the cemetery or churchyard fee.
